The camp of the Super Eagles of Nigeria is buzzing ahead of their crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier with Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Friday in Uyo.
At the moment, 15 of the 23 invited players are in camp and trained on Sunday morning.
Full training is expected to commence on Monday.
The latest arrivals are Chidozie Awaziem and Alhassan Yussuf.
The earliest arrivals were the three home players, Sadiq Ismael of Remo Stars, Ojo Olorunleke of Enyimba and Kenneth Igboke from Rangers.
Ismael was absent in Remo Stars’ 2-1 win over Kano Pillars in the Nigeria Premier Football League in Ikenne on Saturday while the duo of Olorunleke and Igboke will also miss their clubs’ league assignments on Sunday.
Other players in the Super Eagles camp are Wildfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Samuel Chukwueze, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Terem Moffi, Stanley Nwabali, Benjamin Tanimu, Victor Boniface, Raphael Onyedika and Chidozie Awaziem.
Still being expected are Bright Osayi-Samuel, Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi among others.
