The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the results of several bye-elections across Nigeria.
In Ondo State, Ifeoluwa Ehindero of the All Progressive Congress (APC) emerged victorious in the Akoko North-East/Akoko North-West Federal Constituency, securing 35,504 votes.
This election was held to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Olubummi Tunji-Ojo, who became the Minister of Interior.
In Lagos State, Fuad Laguda, also of the APC, claimed victory in the Surulere Federal Constituency 1 Bye-Election with 11,203 votes.
He succeeded Femi Gbajabiamila, who assumed the role of Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu in mid-2023.
The Ebonyi South Senatorial District bye-election saw Anthony Ani of the APC emerging as the winner, garnering 46,270 votes.
Ani now represents the constituency in the National Assembly, succeeding Senator Dave Umahi, the current Minister of Works.
Yusuf Liman, the APC candidate, secured victory in the Makera state constituency bye-election in Kaduna State, obtaining 18,068 votes.
Meanwhile, Nura Abubakar of the PDP triumphed in the election for Kudan State constituency in Kaduna State with a total of 24,178 votes.
Additionally, two candidates of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) were declared winners in the re-run elections in Anambra state.
Hon Peter Uzokwe secured victory in the Nnewi North, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo federal constituencies with 25,518 votes, while Princess Chinwe Nnabuife emerged as the winner in the Orumba North/South federal constituency with 14,416 votes.
