Femi Adebayo, Odunlade Adekola, Lateef Adedimeji and Ibrahim Chatta are probably the top 4 leading male Yoruba Actors for movie roles and may get fans choice.
While the first 3 easily get big Screen movie roles, and Big brand endorsement, the same can’t be said of Ibrahim Chatta.
When Femi makes movies, it’s always in the news and sell like fire. When Ọdún do same, the PR is big.
Presently these two have big movies coming out this month, Orisha and Jagunjagun. And I’m sure they will do well in market. Lateef on the other hand is often used as poster boy for big roles, which will come with big price at producers purse.
Wondering why Chatta is not getting same roles for big movies from Producers like MO Abudu, Jade Osiberu etc or come out with his own movie that will shake movie industry or make it to Netflix.
As a big fan, I have always looked out for Ibrahim movies but most often end in just anticipation.
Is it lack of finance to bank roll movies or no helper to project Chatta? Even though we agree Chatta can do well for almost any role, English, Yoruba, Romance, or Bad boy role.
I keep wondering. This took me back to the revelation he made on AMVCA recognition. I think it’s beyond just Award but less recognition even with the growth of big movie production in Nigeria that makes it to Cinemas and Netflix. Or is it lack of will to develop oneself or project oneself.
If they are talking about one actor for a story telling role, it’s like they always wanna pick Femi, Ọdún or Lateef over Chatta.
Wondering why, even with Ibrahim’s versatility. I also don’t think he is as rich as the others too. Odun personal development has been loud, he appears like local boy with less education years back but he keep showing he is leading star. Going to Unilag to get a degree is something outstanding about Odun’s growth, even though he doesn’t need the degree. Today these guys can be said to be University graduates, except Chatta even though Chatta could make you assume he is probably the most educated because he speaks better. Many people wouldn’t know Chatta didn’t attend any Tertiary Institution. I think he could have brushed up himself more even though he may not need the certificate.
As a YouTuber, I’m familiar with YouTube channels of Femi Adebayo, Odunlade, Lateef Adedimeji but I rarely see that of Ibrahim Chatta. Anyone that knows Ibrahim Chatta YouTube Channel should help me with the handle pls.
