A Kwara-based cyber security expert and ethical hacker, Yunus Damilare Oyetunde and one other have applied to ethically hack Guinness World Records website in seven days.
According to Oyetunde who made the announcement on his Facebook account on Tuesday, the challenge would be called “Hackathon”.
He wrote, “Hello, Guinness World Records,
“With your permission, can I and my team (of one other ethical hacker) break your security?
“We’ve already submitted our #Hackathon application to ethically break your security in not more than 7 days by reporting 100 confirmed critical web vulnerabilities in your web infrastructure.
“Any discovered vulnerabilities would surely be reported to your web security team for investigation and confirmation
“If confirmed, then you give us the certificate instead of the bounty.
“Coy Emerald”.
He as well attached a copy of his application.
Oyetunde is the chief executive officer of O-range Cyber Security Class in Offa, Kwara, Nigeria.
