The Department of State Service has warned Nigerians taking part in the 2024 re-run and bye-elections to be of good conduct during and after the exercises in the affected states in the country.
The service tasks the contending parties to shun all acts capable of causing a breakdown of law and order.
At the same time, the DSS asks politicians and their supporters to adhere to the electoral act and procedure.
The warning is contained in a statement made available to newsmen on Friday by the Director of Public Relations and Strategic Communications, Peter Afunanya.
The statement also enjoined public commentators, social critics, and key players in the public space to consider the peace of the country over and above their personal or group interests.
Beyond the elections, the DSS enjoins citizens to be patriotic and loyal to the Nigerian nation.
