Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie has appealed to Nigerians to come out in their numbers to support the team in their crucial Paris 2024 Olympics qualifiers first leg, final round match with Banyana Banyana of South Africa on Friday.
Nine-time champions Nigeria and current Women’s African Cup of Nations Queens, South Africa are scheduled to clash at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja today from 5pm.
Paris FC first choice shot stopper, Nnadozie said the players want the people of Nigeria to come to the stadium and support them.She insists the Super Falcons do not fear any team but the fan support will help them play with total confidence and overcome any opposition.
The Falcons have not participated in the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament since 2008 when they lost all three matches in the group stage at the Beijing Olympics in China.
The return leg of the Paris 2024 qualifiers is slated for the Loftus Versfeld Arena in Pretoria on Tuesday next week.
