A Federal High Court in Abuja told former Governor of Rivers, Nyesom Wike, on Wednesday that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has the right to suspend or expel him if the action is done in accordance with the law. The Chief Whip of Adamawa State House of Assembly, Haruna jilantikiri has dropped his personal car for bicycle in protest against hike in fuel price. Jilantikiri, who represents Madagali Constituency at the Assembly, opted for use of his bicycle to run his daily activities. The price of petrol was hiked considerably by oil marketers shortly after President Bola Tinubu declared end to fuel subsidy regime. The Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Jigawa State Command, has rescued a 25-year-old woman locked in a room for many years by her father. The Presidential Election Petitions Court in Abuja, on Wednesday, admitted a total of 337 exhibits tendered by the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, challenging the emergence of President Bola Tinubu as the winner of the February 25 presidential election. A former Metropolitan Police constable, Jade Ebanks, 29, on Wednesday, appeared before District Judge Briony Clarke of the Westminster Magistrates’ Court for raping a woman five times in London. Ebanks is charged with five counts of rape against a yet-to-be-identified woman, an act he allegedly carried out two years before he joined the force.
