A former governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio, has called on Nigerians and members of the incoming 10th National Assembly not to assess him using his brief tenure as Minister of Niger Delta Affairs. The senator-elect for Oyo South Senatorial District, Barrister Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, has declared that the proposed amendment of the Chiefs Law in Oyo State cannot achieve any result. Veteran Yoruba actor, Prince Adewale Adeyemo, died on Monday morning after a brief illness. The news was announced by fellow actor, Kunle Afod, on his Instagram page. Sharing a picture of the deceased, Afod wrote, “Hmmmm God you know best RIP Prince Adewale Adeyemo. “He passed on early hours of today after a brief illness. Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, on Saturday, declared that the establishment of three new universities remains the highest of his administration’s legacies for the state. The Government of Osun State has clarified that Dr Folorunso Alakija remains the Chancellor of Osun State University after the dissolution of the Governing Council of the University. In a clarification issued on Sunday night, the State Government opined that the dissolution of the Governing Council does not affect the position of Dr Alakija who is contributing immensely to the growth and development of the University.
