Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali says the team is ready for the crucial 2027 World Cup qualifier against Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Friday.
Speaking ahead of the game on Tuesday, Nwabali who plays for Chippa United in the South African Premier Soccer League played down the pressure surrounding the game.
He said the Super Eagles just have to find a way to win the game on Friday in Uyo and then move on to the next one against Benin Republic in Abidjan.
He insists everyone is training hard and focused on the match with South Africa first after which attention will switch to the game against Benin Republic on Monday.
Nigeria is currently third in Group C of the qualifiers with just 2 points from 2 games.
South Africa are second on three points while Rwanda lead with four points.
The Super Eagles have not had the best of preparations for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers due to the strike action embarked on by organised labour in Nigeria over minimum wage which has now been suspended.
Only 15 of invited 23 players have been in camp since Sunday with 8 stranded in Lagos and Abuja.
5 of the players arrived Uyo Tuesday afternoon with the remaining three expected to join their teammates today.
