The round of 16 draw of the President Federation Cup was conducted on Thursday and will see some top teams go up against each other as the battle for Nigeria’s oldest competition rages on.
After edging Plateau United 3-2 on penalties in Abuja on Wednesday, Sunshine Stars will face another tough battle against fellow Nigeria Premier Football League side, Rivers United, who beat Niger Tornadoes 1-0 to reach the round of 16.
There is also a northwest derby between rivals Katsina United and Kano Pillars just as Ikorodu City and Inter Lagos will meet in a Lagos derby and rematch of their state FA Cup final.
In other ties, giant killers Wikki Tourists who sent defending champions Bendel Insurance packing will take on EFCC.
Sokoto United will hope to upset Enyimba, International while Kebbi United will also fancy their chances against struggling 2015 champions, Akwa United.
El-Kanemi Warriors and Shooting Stars will face off while Kwara United are up against Abia Warriors.
