The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Disciplinary Committee has dismissed the appeal filed by Enyimba International against the decision of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, to award three points to Enugu Rangers following the disruption of the game played on 9th June 2024 at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
The Disciplinary Committee adopted the Summary Jurisdiction in Form 16 contained in paragraph 1 and upheld the One Million Naira fine against Enyimba for failure to ensure the proper conduct of their players, officials and supporters.
Thee Committee also disagreed with the decision in Paragraph 2 of the Summary Jurisdiction Notice form 16 that the live broadcast transmission was disrupted by Enyimba for want of evidence and set aside the Five Million Naira fine imposed on the club.
The Committee disagreed with the decision in Paragraph 3 of the Summary Jurisdiction Notice Form 16 that the supporters of Enyimba threw objects into the field of play for lack of evidence and set aside the one million naira fine.
The Committee agreed with the decision of the Summary Jurisdiction Notice Form 16 contained in paragraph 4 against Enyimba for refusal to continue with the match in protest against the award of the penalty.
The 3 points and 3 goals awarded in favour of Rangers was upheld in accordance with Article 13.26 of the NPFL Framework and Rules.
The Committee upheld the fine of One Million Naira imposed on Enyimba for encroachment unto the field of play in accordance with Art.13.19 NPFL Framework and Rules.
The Committee agreed with the fine of Two Million Naira imposed on Enyimba for the disruption and discontinuation of the match in accordance with Article 13.24 of NPFL Framework and Rules.
The decisions are without prejudice to the right of appeal.
