The national chairman, Labour Party, Julius Abure wants party members to take the gospel of taking Nigeria from a consuming nation to producing economy as well as provide good governance to all parts of Nigeria exemplified by the party’s manifesto.
Mr. Abure, made the call at the inauguration of campaign directorates for Oyo state Labour Party gubernatorial candidate, Tawfiq Akinwale in Ibadan where he described his party as the third force which is ready to change the narrative of leadership with focus on all Nigerians.
Represented by the national legal adviser of the party, Akingbade Oyelekan,the party chairman stressed the need for supporters to embark on aggressive campaign for the party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, Oyo governorship candidate, Tawfiq Akinwale and other party candidates to emerge victorious in 2023 general elections.
Receiving the flag as a symbol of being the party governorship flagbearer in Oyo state Tawfiq Akinwale listed his unique selling points to include adequate knowledge of local government administration, integrity and his knowledge as a senior civil servant in the presidency.

Earlier, the chairman Oyo state Labor party elders consultative forum, Lateef Adegoke cautioned members against thuggery, saying intense voters mobilisation and unity were important to ensure victory at the coming polls.
Highlights ofthe event was the administration of oath of allegiance on members of the 32 campaign directorates under the director general, Olusola Ayodele.
