A customer, simply identified as Oluremi has accused Jumia Nigeria, an e-commerce company, of refusing to refund him after a failed transaction of N34,000 since July.
Oluremi shared via a facebook post stated that he bought an item that did not meet the advertised specifications and he triggered the return clause immediately.
Oluremi said, “This is to call out JUMIA ONLINE STORE for holding back my 34,090NGN for about five months now. I bought an item that did not meet the advertised specifications and I triggered the return clause immediately.
“The item was picked up on the 17th of August by their agent. I have spent almost half this amount chasing trying to get my refund.
“Twice they have sent me fraudulent proof of refund, having me going after my bank for two months. The latest lies have been their inability to reach me via a line that is up and running.
“We can’t tell how many people are having my kind of experience in their hands. Thanks, everyone for your intervention”.
