The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have arrived in Abidjan on Thursday, gearing up for their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16 showdown against the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Saturday.
After securing victory in their last group match against the Scorpions of Gambia with a 3-2 scoreline in Bouake, the 5-time champions traveled to Abidjan.
Their initial two group games were held at the Charles Konan Banny Stadium in Yamoussoukro.
Cameroon clinched the second spot in Group C with 4 points, trailing behind defending champions Terangha Lions of Senegal.
The team received a boost with the return to full training of previously injured captain Vincent Aboubacar and winger Clinton N’Jie.
Aboubacar, who suffered an injury during training in Yamoussoukro just before the tournament’s commencement, has returned after a ten-day absence and may feature in the upcoming clash against the Super Eagles.
The highly anticipated match between Nigeria and Cameroon is scheduled to take place at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium tomorrow at 9 pm.
