Head coach of Nigeria’s Flamingos, Bankole Olowookere is confident his team will win against Liberia in Abuja on Friday in the second leg of the 2024 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
The Flamingos defeated Liberia 4-1 in the first leg on Sunday in Monrovia.
Olowookere told the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday in Abuja that the team’s target is to secure a ticket and represent the country in the Dominican Republic 2024 World Cup.
The coach said the defenders, midfielders, attackers and the entire technical crew are set for the game.
He also urged residents of the Federal Capital Territory and its environs to come en masse to support the girls.
The match comes up at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja on Friday at 4pm.
This year’s FIFA Under 17 Women’s World Cup will be staged in Santiago de los Caballeros, and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic from the 16th of October to the 3rd of November.
