Newly appointed head coach of the Super Eagles, Finidi George is set to quit his position as manager of Nigeria Premier Football League champions, Enyimba International.
Finidi joined the People’s Elephant in September 2021 after signing a two-year contract.
He replaced Fatai Osho, whose contract expired at the end of August 2021.
Finidi led Enyimba to win the NPFL title in his second season and was on course to defend it this season.
Finidi’s decision to resign is in order to focus on his new role as Super Eagles coach.
His assistant Olanrewaju Yemi, will take charge of Enyimba for the rest of the season.
The NPFL champions are expected to release a statement soon.
