2023 Census Holds May 3 – FG

The National Population Commission (NPC), has said a new date for the National Census was yet to be fixed but it would be done by the Federal Government. NPC said its focus is to ensure that all resources expended are safeguarded ahead of the 2023 Population and Housing Census in the country. Mr Darlington Okereke, NPC’s Federal Commissioner in Ebonyi, said this at a one-day Breakfast Meeting for Media Executives on Friday in Abakaliki. Ondo lawmakers have elected Hon Oladiji Olamide representing Ondo East Constituency as Speaker of the Assembly. The All Progressives Congress(APC) dominated the Assembly having won 23 seats while the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won three seats. One Danladi Ibrahim, a 33-year-old resident of Nasaru village in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State is currently cooling his feet in Police custody for drugging and defiling a 10-year-old girl in the area.
