The top of the table Nigeria Premier Football League Match-Day 34 encounter between leaders Rangers and second-placed Enyimba at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu on Sunday, was abandoned in added time after the home side were awarded a penalty in the 107th minute with the game goalless.
Enyimba players protested the decision and walked off the pitch when the centre referee stood his ground.
After waiting for Enyimba players to return to the pitch, the referee positioned the ball for the penalty to be taken but things turned chaotic when some fans started throwing objects and invaded the pitch leading to an abrupt end of proceedings.
