French superstar, Kylian Mbappe has signed a contract to join Spanish giants Real Madrid on a free transfer when his Paris St-Germain deal expires on the 30th of June.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Mbappe verbally agreed to move to the Santiago Bernabeu in February and then announced in May he would leave PSG at the end of the season.
The 25 year old has now signed all documents with Real Madrid and will move to Spain when the La Liga transfer window opens on the 1st of July.
Real Madrid who won the UEFA Champions League for the 15th time on Saturday are expected to announce the deal next week and could formally present the player at the Bernabeu before Euro 2024.
Mbappe who won the World Cup with France in 2018, is PSG’s record goalscorer with 256 goals since joining from Monaco on an initial loan in 2017.
The Real Madrid deal he signed is until 2029 and he will earn 15 million euros a season, plus a 150 million euros signing-on bonus to be paid over five years.
He will also keep a percentage of his image rights.
