The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State has lost a former commissioner for women affairs, Alhaja Ahmed Nike Taibat, to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Alhaja Ahmed Nike who served under the previous administration of Governor Abdulfatai Ahmed was one of the political stakeholders of the PDP in Offa Local Government Area.
In a letter addressed to the chairman of the PDP in Offa LGA, Honourable Jide Jatto, the former commissioner tendered her resignation from the party with immediate effect.
This comes as the state prepares for the gubernatorial and state assembly elections March 11. PDP had suffered huge defeat in Kwara State, as the APC led in the presidential election and retained all the National Assembly seats.
