Nigerian singer and founder of Marlian Records, Naira Marley, has declared that nothing would ever stop him from being an addicted smoker of Marijuana.

The famous singer, who has a cult-like following among Nigerian youths, has always been enmeshed in controversies, from being arraigned for suspected internet fraud to physically abusing one of his music acts on his label, Mohbad.

His latest tweet this morning, where he seemed to glorify hemp smoking on his Twitter account, has dragged him into the public space again for the wrong reason.

Marlian, as his fans call him, in a post shared, said may God not let him see what will make him quit smoking.

This tweet has now been condemned by many social media users, urging the singer to use his platform to positively impact the lives of many young minds who might be emboldened to take up a life of drugs.

His tweet reads,” God, please don’t let me see what will make me leave smoking.”
